The Subject

A service designed for Licensed Drone Pilots and Employers, Drone.vet is freelance marketplace.  We currently have nearly 700 licensed drone operators and UAV professionals, personally vetted by myself.  The site fully complies with FAA regulations, with a well-thought out onboarding process for pilots, including confirmation of ID, FAA licensed and insurance coverage.  For Employers, operators can be hired on an hourly or fixed-rate basis, and conversely, Pilots can create productized services with pricing tiers they select.  What is a productized service?  Think of an ‘a la carte’ menu for visitors– they allow for quick transactions. Pilots can create a service for real estate footage, sporting events, environmental studies, whatever they feel comfortable with, at the price they choose.  Users can message each other, negotiate, and manage jobs, all on the platform.

An active job board, project management tools, video conferencing and livechat between users are among some of the features in Drone.vet.

Solar consultants rely on thermal drone inspections to detect underperforming panels and evaluate large solar installations efficiently. Property inspectors and insurance adjusters use Drone.vet to obtain clear, top-down views of roofs and structures, helping document damage without climbing or scaffolding. Land developers and civil engineers book pilots for topographic mapping, 3D models, and land surveys, streamlining pre-construction analysis. Farmers and agronomists use drones for crop health assessments via NDVI imaging and field mapping, optimizing yield and irrigation. Marketing teams and event organizers hire operators for branded aerial videos and coverage of live events, creating dynamic content that would be costly or impossible to capture otherwise. Utility companies employ drone pilots for routine inspections of power lines, towers, and pipelines to prevent outages and ensure safety. Each job is matched with a vetted professional through Drone.vet, saving time while ensuring regulatory compliance and expert results.
